Usually, restaurants near railway stations compromise on hygiene or taste, but this place was a *pleasant surprise*. The food tastes great, *prices are reasonable*, and there is a good variety of options. *Adai–Aviyal and Paniyarams* are must try. I visited on a rainy Sunday evening around 7 PM, and the restaurant was packed with customers and people waiting for tables. Despite the rush, the staff managed reasonably well. Though Can't complain on a rainy day. Customer service could be improved further. Cleanliness and hygiene were good. With its prime location, good food with good taste,and reasonable prices, expanding the *seating capacity* would make the experience even better. Overall, definitely worth trying.

The Rail Coach Restaurant is located nearby Thanjavur Junction Railway Station. The major positive element of this hotel was it's ambience. In a very less space they had built a very clean, royal and good space which was very well maintained. I visited this two times for both lunch and dinner that impact this hotel has created on me. The food tastes very well here and there are 2 sections where you can dine in. 1) Outdoor Seating 2) Indoor Seating( Inside Rail Coach) with Air Conditioning And indoor seating costs us 20/- extra on each item which is not a big margin. We tried their veg meals which are very freshly prepared and served very well. The food is also tasty and it's decent. They have set up a very clean, classy and beautiful restaurant in a very limited space. Also, the place is very well maintained. I have been to this restaurant twice — once for lunch and the other time for dinner. This is a testament to the good impression this hotel has made on me. The taste of the food here is also very good. There are two types of dining options: 1. Outdoor Seating 2. Indoor Seating – Inside Rail Coach, with air conditioning. There is an additional charge of ₹20 for each meal when using the indoor rail coach dining facility. This is not a huge extra charge. We had veg meals here. The food was very freshly prepared and served well. The taste of the food was also good. Overall, the veg meals were satisfactory. We also tried dosa and idli during the night. They were served with chutneys. The service of the restaurant was also very good. The staff patiently listened to our orders and served our desired food well. Overall, my experience at this restaurant was very good. If you want to have a great dining experience, I highly recommend you to visit this restaurant.

Only negative is the restaurant is compact. it's almost equivalent to a railway coach with not much space to move. Limited seats in ac. Non ac is quite spacious and with good ventilation. Reg food - it's only south indian. with limited starters. paneer 65 was ok. Dosa, idly, chapathi, idiyappam, all tasted well. Best part is side dish. Sambar, 3 chutney, kathrika gosthu.. all were good. Worth visiting!!

One of the best spot for having a quick breakfast. Staffs are humble and approachable. All chutneys were good. One of the best sambar I have ever had. Ghee pongal was top notch 👌 Beverages are also great! Had took chapati as parcel to have in train journey. It was had after 5 hours of packing, yet it was so fresh and tasty with kurma. Love from Karnataka👍

Had dinner here and absolutely loved it. The food was damn good, the service was really nice, and the prices were reasonable too. They also had a great variety of side dishes. Definitely worth visiting.

Side dish chutney variety is more. The podi dosai is very very spicy. Benne masala dosai is super. Super veg restaurant. AC train dining is crowded in evening sometimes.

We were here at lunchtime - and thoroughly enjoyed the food and place. The meal was good value at 100 INR. The kitchen was cleaner than my own. And it's a bit qwerky and very handy for the station. Yes, it's a bit weird to get the bill before the food - buy hay ho

Had early morning coffee and breakfast while restaurant was opening. Staff hospitality was very well and friendly. Manager mam had keen eye and runs a strict ship. Kudoos.
